April 7, 2020 Callaway County COVID-19 Update

The Callaway County Health Department has received no notification of any new positive COVID-19 cases as of this time. Currently our cases total 18 (13 recovered, 4 active and 1 deceased).

With the stay-at-home order in place, most people have seen drastic changes to the way businesses are conducting day to day operations. The precautions that are being taken by the businesses are to protect customers and staff through this extremely dangerous time. Limitations on the number of customers allowed in any business at any time are directly correlated to the stay-at-home order. Please take time to realize the COVID-19 virus has not been contained. That is why it is so important to comply with the social distancing requirements.

Schedule your necessary shopping ahead of time and if possible, go at hours when heavier customer traffic is not at its peak. Check store hours of operation to help gauge when to shop. Take the least amount of people with you when you go to the store. Make lists ahead of time to speed up your shopping experience.

Please be safe and be conscience of the threat that is still among us.
