April 28, 2020 Callaway County COVID-19 Update

The Callaway County Health Department has no new positive COVID-19 cases to report at this time. There are currently 20 cases, with 16 recovered, three active and one death.
The Callaway County Health Department has begun meetings with businesses to assist with the partial lifting of the stay-at-home declaration. Our intent is to mitigate any issues with the partial openings and give recommendations to our local businesses per Governor Parson’s guidance recommendations.
Callaway County citizens need to remember that this will be a phased opening of services and that precautions still need to be taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This does not return businesses back to the normal operations that were conducted before the outbreak began. There will still be limits on the number of patrons that may enter an establishment. Social distancing measures will still be in place. Please remember, if there is a large number of vehicles in a parking lot, wait to go in.
Tomorrow informational videos will be produced to give timely information and guidance to Callaway County businesses and the patrons as well. Church services, restaurants and many other topics will be discussed. Information on these videos will be posted on this site as soon as they are released. STAY SAFE!!!!
