The Callaway County Health Department has no new positive COVID-19 cases to report at this time. There are currently 29 cases, with 20 recovered, eight active and one death.
We hope to see some of our active cases transfer into the recovered category next week. Testing sites are being set up in surrounding counties through DHSS. According to CCHD Administrator Sharon Lynch, more than 2,100 Callaway County residents have been tested. This means the county has done an excellent job at controlling COVID-19. We can’t let up on our efforts now. It is easy to become complacent. If that happens, we could easily see a spike in the number of positive cases of COVID-19 as our neighboring counties have experienced. Keep up the great work Callaway!
