CALLAWAY COUNTY COVID-19 UPDATE

There is renewed importance this year for flu vaccination for people six months of age and older according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) given the potential spread of influenza and COVID-19 during the same time this fall and winter. The CDC advises flu vaccination is an important tool in limiting the amount of flu disease and symptoms which may be confused with COVID-19.

CONTACT TRACKING/TRACING:

Callaway County Public Health Officials are continuing to conduct COVID-19 related investigations and contact tracking/tracing in order to inform and identify those who may have come into contact or been exposed to COVID-19.

With the influx of Callaway County Residents inquiring as to how they can assist the County during the pandemic. The Callaway County Medical Reserve Corps is now accepting volunteers to assist with contact tracking/tracing.

Anyone interested in volunteering with the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) to assist with contact tracking/tracing as a volunteer, may contact the Medical Reserve Corps Director at 573-592-2482. Volunteers will be required to complete an online certification course, register with the MRC, and pass a criminal background check.
